As the 18th President of Pi Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., I am proud and privileged to be of service to such a wonderful chapter and community. We have been a strong presence in the City of Cerritos and the surrounding areas (Artesia, Bellflower, and Lakewood) for more than 30 years. We are truly dedicated to the ideals of our beloved sorority by fostering bonds of sisterhood, encouraging high scholastic achievements, and implementing programs of service that enhance the social, economic, and educational well-being of the local, national, and international communities.

The theme of our International Program is Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service. Our program targets are HBCU for Life: A Call to Action, where our signature program is #CAP (College Admissions Process), Women’s Health and Wellness, Building your Economic Legacy, The Arts, and Global Impact.

Programs are the heart of AKA. Pi Sigma Omega chapter supports the international initiatives through a variety of activities and events, such as college fairs and promoting HBCU attendance, fundraising activities for scholarships to local high school students, annual runs and Zumba events, financial literacy workshops, promoting the African American Arts culture and movement, collecting charitable donations for our international sponsors/partners (such as Lions International, Soles 4 Soles, and Black Health Matters), and collaborating with other civic organizations on community events and service projects.
